Victoria not quite delivering the goods weather wise like WA did but still enjoyable being back on the trails in Yarra Bend for the first time in a while.

Always a nice confidence boost before the run when you drop some 4:42s on the warmup

Aus middle champs
A decent enough run on a course/area that was deceptively tricky. Pulled up early in the green to 12 and then ran to the girls control instead losing about 30s. A couple of other 5-10s slips here and there but still happy enough with the run and would've had to have been completely clean to pull in the gap to Matt/Simon. Nice to finish the week with a better one although still a lot of work to be done technically. Orienteering a lot more confidently these last couple of days than at Easter, partly because my knee's now fine and also because I think I suffered a bit from going into the week technically unprepared after having so long off running.

Aus sprint champs
Solid enough the first time through the school and survived the middle distance section through the bush with no real errors (not a huge fan of having such a big section of green forest in a sprint but it was still a cool area). Then pretty messy through the last part in the school, lost about 20s on poor route choices and lots of hesitations too which dropped me down to 3rd.

Cape to Cape trail from Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse to Yallingup
Found out about this run from that red bull guy who did the 'best' trail run in each state in 7 days. Some of his choices were a little questionable but I'm not going to argue with him on this one because it was incredible. The first 8k were just stunning- beautiful water and beaches, awesome rock formations, really enjoyable and varied trail- had a massive grin on my face the whole way. The last third was a bit less enjoyable (a bit tougher going in the sand and views weren't quite as spectacular) but even with that I still rate it as one of the best runs I've done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOUadIs04DQ
