Running (Glen Artney) 41:20 5.81 km (7:07 / km) +82m6:39 / km ahr:161 max:180
Just taking it chill, the run felt okay, I finally did a fully easy run (no trying to push myself a little faster, no looking at my pace, no trying to go hilly, no trying to stretch it out much longer, and best of all no walking at all, just jogging). This felt pretty good, and pretty comfortable. I'm just a bit stressed cuz college work, it feels like I'm already falling behind, but tomorrow I don't have to go on campus so I'll have a chance to do a lot of the work I need to do (if Oliver lets me...)
also I was running in my casual sneakers because guess who forgot their running shoes two days in a row?
Strength Training (push) 12:18 [3] ahr:110 max:129
really short session today because the RAC was packed and like none of the machines or benches were free so I just left, I might do some tomorrow at home or on Wednesday.
Orienteering (Seneca Creek Junior Train) 1:05:16*** 4.68 km (13:56 / km) +105m12:32 / km ahr:129 max:177 15c
realized I forgot my o-shoes as soon as I got there so I had to do this in my casual sneakers Hanging controls for a control picking exercise I set for the junior training. I thought getting there an hour early I'd have more than enough time to hang the streamers for the 1.6km course but I kinda forgot about the almost 1.5km jog to the start/from the finish. So yeah I did a bit more than I intended to and was a little late back for the junior training. I was very slow, it was thorny, and it was my first time orienteering with Oliver in a looong time (my mom usually does, and also not in the summer because hot). Thankfully he was being good and not straying too far away from me because I got too focused on finding the correct spot to hang the streamers a few times that I kinda forgot he was there for a minute (he was fine, he was having fun smelling and peeing on everything). Yeah might not be a good idea for me to orienteer with him if I can't remember to pay attention to him while on a course.
But yeah, I was purely walking while hanging the streamers (because I thought I had lots of time), but I ran there and ran back. I was surprised how tired I was after this
Orienteering (Seneca Creek Brown) 52:44*** 5.79 km (9:06 / km) +127m8:12 / km ahr:155 max:206 11c
Had to get to the sokol membership apprectiation picnic right after this (I'm technically the membership director and it started at noon) so just did brown.
also I got my mom to at least bring me my trail running shoes that I had at her place so I had at least a little bit of traction
My goal was to get a pace of sub 10min/km again, and I did it! proud of this tbh. I was really feeling after the 5th control, like I didn't wanna run anymore and just walk the rest but I forced myself to finish at least at a moderate pace because I had already been doing so good and I had to learn how to push fast while orienteering. Next time I'm gunning for sub-9min/km :) (okay maybe not if I'm doing blue...)
The navigation felt relatively easy, especially up until 8, since it was more like a trail/road run, but also I'm not complaining because the surrounding woods were thorny green and it gave me a good chance to go fast.
Technically had a little bobble on 3, I wasn't sure which side of the big rock to go on and I chose the wrong side, but oh well, probably cost me ~20 seconds.
I know AP says I made a mistake from 5 to 6 but really that was just me walking on the trail for a bit because I was dying...
feel bad for having two rest days back to back, but to be fair I was very busy until like 4pm (promoting sokol and QOC at an event at the Czech Embassy, then playing the cz/sk/usa national anthems at the american sokol eastern district meeting) and when I got home I just kinda flopped. Only thing I did was I did some archery for 20 or so minutes and in the process broke like 7 arrows (it's a strong bow and I kept missing because i was shooting from further away than was comfortable because I wanted a challenge...) but I had fun, it was nice to do it again. It's been a while.
then I gave up, I was gonna do some stairmaster but my legs felt like jelly

Note
brain not doing too well rip
Running47:26 5.9 km (8:02 / km) +75m7:33 / km ahr:166 max:188
went running to get rid of bad feelings
easy shakeout run turned into blind adventure because my inpulsive brain deciding to go running at 6:30pm forgot it gets dark early and then I got lost so a 3-4km run turned into almost 6km oh well but it was nice the qeather reminded me of the PA house :)
also yeah most likely reason why my hr is so high is because when I realized how lost I was and decided to just go back the way I came because the sun was setting I was slightly pushing it to make it back asap
um what happened to my gps track I did not teleport 1km away and then rerun the same trail.... what the hell...
walk/jog warm up/down 14:50 1.84 km (8:03 / km) +41m7:15 / km ahr:142 max:165
I tried finding a trail that my dad mentioned some of his coworkers used to get to Glen Arthey, couldn't find it, had to leave the road because it was connecting to a highway, so I ended up in green crap and got out on the other side on a field on the edge of someone's property but I could see the road 200m ahead of me, so I sprinted over and then stopped to take the little spiky balls off my pants, then passed by a cop sitting in an unmarked vehicle and just hoped he didn't notice I was just trespassing (I didn't mean to okay) and then I jogged down to the trail I thought was flat enough to do intervals on
Running intervals (Glen Artney) 26:07 3.39 km (7:42 / km) +66m7:01 / km ahr:159 max:184
hate it
had to do the intervals, Oriana was keeping me accountable
I felt like total shit, this morning and bfore the run, I didn't wanna run at all, and the trail was not as flat as I thought/hoped it would be. I wanted to try to do 20x 1 min on, 1 min off, but after 5 I was already feeling exhausted, so I gave myself a 3 minute break, then did the next 5, when I got to the part of the trail was just a long uphill so I took another longer "break", ended up being 5 minutes because I was not about to do my next interval uphill. By the time I got to the top of the hill I was feeling even more like crap, like I just wanted to sit down for a while, so decided to quit it.
I really hoped I'd feel stronger during this, but I guess that's what I get for not doing speedwork for a while.
I meant to do a track workout but when I went to the track in the RAC I saw they were setting up a career event that took up the whole track so rip I guess
first run after spraining my ankle without the ace bandage, it was okay but I definitely felt a lot less confident than with the bandage.
Walk warm up/down 40:41 3.7 km (11:00 / km) +62m10:10 / km ahr:125 max:179
Last 700m I ran because it was downhill and on campus and I didn't wanna look pathetic because that's pretty much how I felt.
I meant to jog the way back but I felt so crappy, exhausted and just hated moving so yeah.

Running (Annapolis Rock South) 50:17 6.4 km (7:51 / km) +100m7:17 / km ahr:156 max:177
loving when strava, garmin connect, and attackpoint are all giving me different values for climb... ap said I had 69m of climb (nice), strava said 100m, and garmin connect said 235m.... I decided to go with strava's value but it's weird, lately it's been happening that my ap underestimates the climb, but in the past week garmin connect started bugging out and giving me ridiculous readings for elevation (like for orienteering on sunday it said I had done over 400m of climb)
anyways the run was ok, I wore the ace bandage on my ankle and had no pain there. It was way hillier than I expected, and I kept getting lost/confused but eventually I found my way back. I did walk a few times after 3.5kms, but imo not enough to call this a run/walk, just a sad run.
