EFIX final day - Canoe-O course, 11 mile trek to finish

Mis-judged distance to second re-entrant on canoes, no good features to show where to stop canoes, skipped it instead of going back for it. Mis-judged distance to re-entrant with CP at the waterfall. Had to turn around, lost <30 minutes.

Mis-plotted last CP at end of trail, much further down the river than the cable car. Lost < 30 minutes re-plotting, good decision not to follow other teams turning around

EFIX day 3 - finish rogaine, naps, bike 50 miles to canoe-o course

Night Rogaine - lost 1 hour hiking a long switchback instead of walking up a creek or another trail not shown on main map, lost 30 minutes walking up a parallel re-entrant from the wrong part of curve in trail, lost < 1 hour when attempting CP on plateau/ridge and being confused by wrong trails. Should have used both maps.

Biking to Cano-O course - Lost < 30 minutes when trying to follow roads to TA. Need to stay in better contact with map

EFIX day 2 - bike, trek, rappel, trek, bike to riverboard (miss cutoff), rogaine start

Summary of nav. mistakes:

CP5 Glade creek - missed due to bad maps, verbal directions provided were not clear, poor route choice to bike on major highway (should have been obvious that this route was not the intended route) not confident enought to bushwhack with bikes at night to the correct stream/road

CP7 rappel site - slow route choice to stay on road then hike over hill to powerlines. could have followed powerlines all the way. Lost < 1 hour

CP8 ladder - stayed on fire road too long, should stay at base of cliffs, lost < 30 min.

CP9 Endless wall trail/road - not confident when bushwhacking through woods behind houses, eventually walked out to road when nearly at the CP and walked a long way around, lost 1-1.5 hours

Course setting advanced courses at Foutnainhead. Ran as much as possible, but had to walk off from various attackpoints to verify locations. Hanging streamers and taking notes also slowed me down. Only a slight mist in the air, no rain. Had to hurry back to finish checking everything before the park closed
