Running 1:00:00 [3] 10.0 km (6:00 / km)

warm ups and cool downs
10 AM

Orienteering 14:36 [3] 3.38 km (4:19 / km) +63m 3:57 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 190

NOL race 1- Sprint @ Ballarat University
Made some typically poor sprint route choices. It still amazes me that I can score well in those aptitude tests that involve rotating weird shapes or picking out the odd shape but have no idea how to pick the best side of a building to run around.
The course was pretty physical with a few climbs and I took it pretty easy on them trying to save some energy for the afternoon race. Result was about where I deserved to be.Great win by Oskar.

Orienteering 54:37 [3] 7.71 km (7:05 / km) +396m 5:38 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

morning training session on Cotty Creek. Map memory/relocation exercise in pair with Ian Lawford. This session was really good, much harder mentally than I expected. Despite my efforts I couldn't get Ian lost!

Running long 16:15 [3] 2.86 km (5:41 / km) +182m 4:19 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

warm up from Creswick School of Forestry to Creswick Diggings map.

Running long 28:04 [3] 4.47 km (6:17 / km) +114m 5:34 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

Creswick Diggings
Training starting in pairs (with Ian Lawford) with some relay splitting. Aim was to go hard on the 3 easier long legs and then slow down (traffic light) through the short technical legs. I was pretty happy with my run, just a few small detours. Great return to technical training.
2 PM

Orienteering 18:30 [3] 2.65 km (6:59 / km) +39m 6:30 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

Afternoon training at Mt Beckworth.
Downhill training session (after walking up the hill a bit) with short legs. I was pretty tired physically and even worse mentally and got fooled into thinking it would be all downhill. But the first half was more contouring and a bit of climbing. I was pretty disappointed with my effort, just not comfortable like the morning.
3 PM

Orienteering 16:33 [3] 2.39 km (6:55 / km) +27m 6:34 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

Mt Beckworth 2nd course. Was more determined to give it a good go, so put a bit more effort in. Almost perfect run this time and much happier than previous effort.

5 PM

Road Cycling 1:32:59 [3] 39.84 km (2:20 / km) +652m 2:09 / km

nice evening commute home from the Summit. Via Ryans Rd, Narracan, Mcdonalds track, past the site of the worlds tallest tree- 114m, they even cut it down to prove the measurement
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucalyptus_regnans
then up to the Strezelecki Hwy and home. Didn't get passed by a car for the last 75mins. Serenity and great views.

Running long 2:02:30 [3] 22.15 km (5:32 / km) +628m 4:51 / km
shoes: SalomonXA Pro Black

Morning long run with Kathryn. Surprisingly the rain stopped but I felt like I was cutting the humidity with my hands. I struggled the whole way, not sure why. Typical when I had a rest day yesterday that I feel crap today. First 2hr run for the year.
