The thick brush and thick/slow open areas meant that trail running was generally the best route. I tried to take a few shortcuts to minimize my speed disadvantage; some of them worked out well, and others... not so much.
I ran too far along the trail to 4 (that was just boneheaded). Poor route choice to 12, and small mistakes on 13 and 14.
