Gravel Bike (Gravel/pavement) 3:54:00 [3] 54.4 mi (13.9 mph)

Foggy morning (and afternoon, right along the lake). But sunny, windy and warm inland. We parked in Wheatley and toured back roads between there, Merlin and Tilbury. It has rained too much to be harvesting so it was a day off! Very thankful for that.

Trekking (Orienteering) 1:12:00 [3] 3.52 mi (20:27 / mi)
shoes: Speed Cross

Sandra Richardson Park. Knee deep water greeted me en route to the first control. This was after I overshot it....not getting my head properly wrapped around the scale until after the second control.
I did a lot of bushwacking, trying to hold bearings....with various degrees of success. So not a lot of trail running this time....might have even been some crawling through some scrubby stuff a couple times. And a couple more knee deep water crossings.
The course made very good use of the park!

Trekking (Flag pickup) 13:00 [3] 0.75 mi (17:20 / mi)

Flag pickup....I got the easy ones :)

Spin class 55:00 [3]

Worked harder than I planned as I wanted to save something for a real ride today.
Intervals with resistance.

Gravel Bike (Gravel/pavement) 3:22:00 [3] 47.0 mi (14.0 mph)

Plan A and B didn't work for riding as a couple waves of thunderstorms came through in the morning and at lunchtime. Then a window opened and off we went to Amherstburg. Not much wind and the sun was shining. Then on the way back we were glancing over our shoulders and pedalling faster as another band of thunderstorms chased us.
Made it home with 30 minutes to spare before darkness....and then the reason for the Severe Thunderstorm Warning became evident.

Note

Gardening into the darkness tonight.....chop spread cut stack.

And yes, triceps and ribs and core are sore. I am getting my moneysworth from these bootcamp classes.

Gym time (Boot camp) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Other other

Jogged/hobbled over to gym and I was relieved to find out today was arm day.
Hopefully I can get my arms up as high as my desk to be able to use my laptop and mouse tomorrow.

Gravel Bike (Pavement) 1:15:00 [4] 22.0 mi (17.6 mph)

My quads and glutes are S.O.R.E. from kick-me-in-the-ass camp yesterday.
These Banded Goose Brewery rides are getting shorter as the sun sets earlier each week. But it was a glorious summer-like evening for a ride. Hung on for dear life as the roadies "took it easy". Whatever. I enjoyed the workout. And the lamb burger I shared with Paul. And the glass of beer from a brewery in Windsor that I didn't share.

Gym time (Boot camp) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Other other

On my 2nd day in the new job, a couple co-workers gave me a flyer for a bootcamp they do in a neighbouring building 2 days a week at noon.

So 12 or so of us headed over today for a new 6 week session. I jogged over. And then did 50 minutes of squats and walking lunges and TRX and exercise ball and band work...sort of like cross fit. Then some power moves. The trainer came by and corrected my technique a few times which I appreciated.
This may hurt later. Esp as I can still feel Sunday night hockey in parts of my body. Apparently 2 nights of conditioning isn't adequate training for a real game of hockey.
