Rode my bike to the gym and did a brief tour of town afterwards. The riders for the ERCA ride were headed out and Mark from one of the LBS I frequent was there doing tune ups. I avoided the temptation of just disappearing into the groups of riders headed out on such a gorgeous day. Then I went to check out the Lakeside Pavilion where Meghan and Pete's wedding reception will be today.....absolutely magical decorating!
My first work from home day. So I started with a short jog around the 'hood and then some good stretching, before locking myself to my laptop and cell phone. I could get accustomed to this.
Gravel Bike (Rail trail/pavement) 1:05:00 [3] 17.4 mi (16.1 mph)
I didn't make it back home in time to catch the beginning of the road ride so I headed out on the Greenway. Then cut off on one of the sideroads and caught the group just as they rode by. But made it back to Jack's for a fine quinoa burger with bacon :)
Note
There are SO many awesome events going on this weekend. WT. MEC ride at Creemore. Local rides for the conservation authority. Turkey Point rides. I will be hanging out with extended family, wearing heels and the snazy dress, trying not to let my rarely-worn makeup run as my husband walks his daughter down this aisle....
The second and last skills night. Some passing, a lot of skating. As a complete fluke, at the end, we lined up at one goal line and each shot the puck backhand at the net at the other end. Mine went in. There goes my goal for the year. Drat.
