Adventure Bike (streets) 30:00 [2]

Easy ride with Paul around town as he tries to get the fluid in his tires to work its magic.
The new ferry is still sitting in the same place....it is too big for the existing loading/unloading docks, so they are working on fixing those. Who engineered that?!? My mom keeps asking "when can I come down and ride over to the Island on the new ferry?"

'Cross training' (functional fitness) 20:00 [3]

Climbed up the 100-some foot fertilizer tower, used a 12' length of pipe to poke at stuck fertilizer above my head, climbed down.
Great view from up there!
Note: I could feel it the next day......

Adventure Bike (paved trail, single track) 20:00 [2] 19.5 mi (58.5 mph)

Dirt Diva social ride....a first for me. It was a mountain bike event, but I stuck with my Adventure Bike. Rode the Herb Grey trail then some loops in the single track at Malden. One rider had a flat, but she had a spare tube and the pit crew promptly fixed it.
One member was recruiting me for the Women's 100 (I said I'd sweep), then another member tried to recruit me for the Yankee Springs event (which, unfortunately, is on the same day). Those two members suggested we meet for a gravel ride sometime this fall. That's a hard yes! One lives over by where I work, so I said I'd lead out from her place on whatever length of Kent County gravel they desired.

Cadence, which gets me every time.

Adventure Bike (rail trail, gravel, pavem) 4:55:00 [3] 60.9 mi (12.4 mph)

North on the not quite open rail trail to Staples, then to Comber where we stopped at a variety store for a snack (not on the clock). Then west on the gravel north of the 401. Then jig jog south and east to get home. We went into the Maidstone Conservation Area, which I haven't been to before. A small woodlot with some nice big trees (and a path to ride along). It was so much cooler in the woods, I could've done laps in there for a couple hours to avoid the oven-like temperatures.
