Spin class 55:00 [3]

Lots of resistance.
Then we all took our rubber legs out into the hall and did a 1 minute wall sit as part of the gym's monthly challenge.

Gym time 20:00 [3]

Kettlebells.
Because these make me sore in spots I haven't been sore before.

Gravel Bike (Rail trail/pavement) 2:38:00 [3] 30.8 mi (11.7 mph)

Rode to Harrow to the British shop (no Eccles Cakes this time, but got a box of yummy Jaffa cakes).
Then down to Colchester and along the lake with a sweet tailwind. Stopped at The Fruit Wagon for some new crop apples!
( I had thoughtfully brought a travel knapsack in my jersey pocket for this reason!) (Apparently I didn't pause the bike computer while having a leisurely chat with Mr and Mrs Fruit).

Note

New (our first) brew pub is open in town! As long as we walk there, it's all good, right?

Wednesday Aug 2, 2017 #

Gym time 35:00 [3]

Kettlebells and Smith machine

Then I walked across the street to the grocery store to get 3 things and came back with 3 bags. Carrying them might've been as challenging as the gym time.

Still lots of running around on cement inside an arena......last game of the season.

Gravel Bike (Rail trail etc.) 1:35:00 [3] 17.8 mi (11.2 mph)

A warmer day.
Parked at Erin and rode east to Forks of the Credit Prov Park.....and got into some knarly loose gravel uphills, and so turned around and headed back.
Then rode west and essentially up hill to Hillsbourgh, then back to Erin.
The ERCA folks could take some lessons from this conservation authority as to trail maintenance.....wow, was it in good shape!
