Three Valley Conservation Trust Beck Farm and Miami University Ecology Research Center. working on Ohio Breeding Bird Atlas project. Most exciting find was a federally endangered Henslow's Sparrow at the ERS.

night-time owl walk in Miami University Wesetrn Woods. quiet. heard one barred owl. Waxing gibbous moon was nearly full & while the honeysuckle is really leafing out, most of the upper canopy is still open, so no lights were needed.

Miami University Natural Areas. Not having actually run in quite a while except for orientering sprints a week ago, I felt old, fat and slow. After the first 30 minutes, I felt like I'd loosened up a bit, but after 55 or so, I really was working to keep going.
