H4 at HPD Day 2, gps 4.5kms. Wasn't confident that I could stay clean for a third race in a row, and especially that the hills and cold wouldn't upset my body. Both proved correct, did 1 well but then had annoying 1-2 min mistakes at 2, 3 , 4 and 5, then the AF hit. Way off at 6, then couldn't climb and 7 was a 45-50m climb whichever way you went. Tried the safer route but once the climb started I couldn't recognise anything on the map and my head was spinning. Relocated after about 20 mins with a 50m climb to the control, which I had to negotiate 20m at a time with 2-3 mins rest, and one 10 min rest. Level or downhill to 8 and 9, which i was able to walk comfortably, but couldn't do the climb to 10 so walked to the finish.

H4 course at Hill Park Dale, day 1, gps 3.50kms. No nav errors but got caught in a windblown area near 1 and was slow into 4 due to overcaution. In front by 5 and extended the lead through 6 and 7, but then the AF (or whatever) hit and I was only walking from there on. Took until after 11 before someone passed me though. Ended up down by just over 2 mins.

Symptoms still hanging around after a week. Have done 4 RATs and a PCR, all negative. RPH walk-in Covid clinic very good, no wait to be tested and result in 6 hours. Somewhat disappointed that it's not Covid, because it's the worst cold I've had in years.
