Finally decided to give riding a go; no shoulder pain but shoulders and neck have stiffened a bit. Leederville-City-Narrows-S Perth-Burswood-East Perth.

shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 2nd pair

OAWA Relays at Brigadoon, 2nd leg. Kjell gave me a handy lead, then I blitzed the first 8 controls, went past 9, lost a minute, then another 20 secs at the second last (12). Think I increased the lead by a minute or so.

4th leg of relay, had a 5 minute lead which I maintained despite feeling tired and slower. Clean run this time.

NavDash short course at Whiteman Park - no problems, just jogging slowly.

Orienteering race 37:12 [3] 3.6 km (10:20 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X Talon 212

Jogged around E4 course at Mt Observation, managed to lose 5 mins at 6, then a minute each at 7 & 8. GPS 4.7km. Body not too bad this afternoon, seems like I can resume running (slowly), but no riding - sat on the bike yesterday and was immediately rewarded by pain in the shoulder. No Grand Fondo for me.

H4 at Malmalling, jogging/walking, gps 5.29. Did reasonably well on 2 controls out of 10, absolute crap on the other 8. Worst were 1, 6, 8, and 10, absolute worst was 9 which must have cost me 10 minutes.

Walk/jog, around 2.5 jogging. Now wait to see how the shoulder feels later in the day.

Dr's advice to use mtb for more upright position. Intended to ride to Swanbourne to meet the girls for coffee, but shoulder started to hurt after a couple of km, very painful by 10km so turned around and went home.
