Saturday May 21, 2011 #

Road cycling 2:17:50 [3] 54.9 km (2:31 / km)

Event: Julimar

Orienteering race 1:10:51 [3] 6.1 km (11:37 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X Talon 212

H3 course at Julimar, messed up 1, 2 and 4, otherwise nav ok, but running wasn't. Walked a lot, bush thick and scratchy. GPS 7.7km.

Saturday May 14, 2011 #

Road cycling 1:25:00 [3] 33.0 km (2:35 / km)
shoes: Bike: Bianchi Coast to Coast

Bassendean ride.

Orienteering race 19:00 [5] 2.4 km (7:55 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X Talon 212

State Sprint Champs at Curtin - started really well, caught KB and TB at 3, minor mistake at 7, ran past it (15-20 sec) then went to the wrong building at 8 where K, T and Binnsey all did the repass (30-40 secs). Passed them again at 9, and never saw them after 10.

MTB Orienteering race 44:11 [4] 11.6 km (3:49 / km)
shoes: Bike: GT Avalanche

MTBO race at Pickering Brook, short course. Missed one turn but was able to take a later one without too much loss. Came back the same way on a later leg and still couldn't see the track crossing shown on the map.

Saturday May 7, 2011 #

Road cycling 2:02:23 [3] 53.5 km (2:17 / km)
shoes: Bike: Bianchi Coast to Coast

Solo ride, thru East Perth, Orrong Rd to Roe Hwy, then to Kwinana Fwy. South-Easterly along Orrong Rd, but by the time I hit the Freeway it had backed around to ENE, so had a headwind for 2 legs of the triangle!

Orienteering race 16:20 [4] 2.5 km (6:32 / km)
shoes: Asics GT 2150 New

Nav Dash at Guildford. OK without trying to run really hard, until 11-12 where I went in to a dead end, and then backed out the long way. Then on 12-13 I wasted quite a bit of time trying to run long, tussocky grass and crossing 3 awkward fences, when i could have taken a nice, fast route around on the road.

Thursday May 5, 2011 #

Running 49:55 [3] 8.9 km (5:37 / km)
shoes: Asics GT 2150 New

Tuesday May 3, 2011 #

Running 43:19 [3] 7.9 km (5:29 / km)
shoes: Asics GT 2150 New

Kings Park run, didn't have energy to try for a faster time.

Sunday May 1, 2011 #

Orienteering race 36:46 [4] **** 3.3 km (11:08 / km)
spiked:8/12c shoes: Inov8 X Talon 212

Australian Middle Distance Champs, gps 4.13km. Got the win, but didn't really deserve it, at least 5 mins of errors after crossing the ridge for the 3rd, and trhen 4th time. Worst was no. 10, which I had seen previously (but without realising) on the way to 6 - lost a good 3 mins there.
