8 AM

Running warm up/down 8:30 [3] 1.0 mi (8:30 / mi)

It is windy
9 AM

Running race 18:16 [5] 3.1 mi (5:54 / mi) +30m 5:43 / mi

Stewart Park parkrun - 1st, 18.16

Nice course, but the wind was horrific for about 500m on each of the two laps, was blown to a standstill on both laps.
Didn't get the full benefit the other way either as was in the trees.
Enough moaning, I enjoyed it. Felt good.
Was 50m clear after 3 mins so whilst I felt I was pushing, lone leader syndrome probably came into play

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2] 1.7 mi (8:49 / mi) +30m 8:22 / mi

10 AM

Orienteering 14:55 [4] 2.0 mi (7:27 / mi) +30m 7:08 / mi

CLOK Short Race Series, Stewart Park - 1st, 14.55

Effectively a chasing start with the openness of the first few controls and I started at the back of a big queue of slower people.
Tried not to look at everyone else and just the map and went well, though simple enough really, just missed going over a bridge that would have saved a few metres. Cracking fun esp the sprinty bit at the end.

Running 8:00 [3] 1.0 mi (8:00 / mi) +10m 7:46 / mi

Amaizngly (?) witnessed three people blatantly going through OOB thick stuff to get to control 10 and making a right meal of it as well.
2 PM

Running 17:00 [3] 2.0 mi (8:30 / mi) +20m 8:15 / mi

Better get the legs going again

Running race 12:10 [5] 2.1 mi (5:48 / mi) +30m 5:33 / mi

Leeds Uni XC Relays, Leg 3, 12.10

Very windy, very muddy.
Struggled to get going, but once I did, felt alright, was quite strong by the end and reeled in all the fools who had shot past me at the start
3 PM

Running warm up/down 8:50 [2] 1.0 mi (8:50 / mi)

Running 42:00 [3] 7.0 mi (6:00 / mi) +15m 5:58 / mi

Heworth Loop. Felt good and relaxed
7 PM

Running 44:30 [3] 6.4 mi (6:57 / mi) +90m 6:40 / mi

Otley, Burley Loop

Bumped into Oz in Menstonia as setting off so we ran down to Otley, weather got worse once I left him so went up a gear back home

Running 31:30 [3] 4.0 mi (7:53 / mi) +20m 7:45 / mi

Standard morning slog
6 PM

Running warm up/down 8:30 [3] 1.0 mi (8:30 / mi)

7 PM

Urban Orienteering 44:20 [4] 6.3 mi (7:02 / mi) +20m 6:58 / mi

Colton Urban - 1st

Not flat out, not that my legs would have let me.
Navigated well under pressure from Jack
Managed to pick pace up once I realised clearing them all was possible...

Tuesday Dec 1, 2015 #

12 PM

Running 33:30 [3] 4.5 mi (7:27 / mi) +20m 7:21 / mi

Hob Moor, a bit further than intended but feeling fine
7 PM

Urban Orienteering race 1:14:50 [5] 11.0 mi (6:48 / mi) +50m 6:42 / mi

SROC Preston Central - 3rd

A bit of an odd one, this.
Apparently finally achieved the 11miles in 75 minutes, but whilst I thought I took a decent route in a tricky area, not the best route as was 10points behind Quentin, then turns out I lost 60pts (1 wrong? would be good to know really).
Legs never felt in trouble and never felt fast, sign of improving fitness but could have done more? But did change mind a few times en route. Always difficult to judge 75 until about 20 in anyway.

Running warm up/down 13:00 [2] 1.5 mi (8:40 / mi)

12 PM

Running 30:30 [3] 4.5 mi (6:47 / mi) +10m 6:44 / mi

Loop Line in reverse
Miserably wet, luckily felt good, so didn't hang around
6 PM

Running 50:30 [3] 7.3 mi (6:55 / mi) +100m 6:38 / mi

Alternative Monday from Dom's with Tom and Susan, round via All Saints and up to Rawdon, back down A65. Nice and easy until the pace picked up downhill.

Sunday Nov 29, 2015 #

10 AM

Running long 1:31:40 [3] 12.6 mi (7:17 / mi) +150m 7:01 / mi

Woke up to another Sunday storm, but chose a clever route and timed it to avoid the worse of things
Guiseley, Carlton Lane, top of Pool Bank, Danefield (zig zagged about) Birdcage Walk, Old Railway path
Felt reasonable and the time passed quickly, could have been a horrible run, so job done.
