Roundhay XC Session

8 mins (2) 4 x 4 (90s) 4 x 2 (60s)

Very soft after recent rain and fireworks display

8 mins went well, struggled to get going on the first min of each 4 but finished well, and a similar struggle on the 2s. Felt broken afterwards, but a great session.

The now annual Bonfire night uphill run to Queensbury, 4 mile slog up Great Horton Road. Left across the desolete moors and down to Stone Trough, then along to Shelf and Wibsey. Bit epic for a road run.

As usual the pace wound up, after a 5th mile of 5:45, backed off to 6:20s for the rest, which felt very easy at that point!

Urban Orienteering race 37:43 [5] 6.2 mi (6:05 / mi) +40m 5:58 / mi

Cumbernauld Urban - 4th

Navigation was all pretty straightforward, slightly heistant to #1, and slow on 24-25, probably the trickest leg.
Problem was never got going running wise, felt a bit jaded but never pushed beyond 90% pace I think, couldn't summon up another gear.
