Running warm up/down 13:00 [2] 1.5 mi (8:40 / mi)

Running race 23:38 [5] 4.1 mi (5:46 / mi) +25m 5:39 / mi

Northern Road Relays - B team, leg 6, 23.38

Lack of fitness lead to a predicatably poor time, though I did beat my target of being within 2 mins of my good run from 2013 (21.45)

Felt fine first 10 mins, running and battling with guy from Salford B.

As he stretched out toward the lake, the wheels started to come off and it was a case of hanging on for dear life to the finish.

A few people caught me and I was caught a couple so it was all hard to judge, but by the way I felt I was convinced I was slowing, and badly at that.

But mile splits were 5.46, 6.04, 6.00, 6.01 so one of those strange races where you hold it together despite feeling a lot worse and worse, which shows to never give up.

Gave it my all so no disgrace, bit of a contrast to my last relay experience in Sefton Park...!

Hanging Moor (Green) 1st, 36:58

It was too nice a day to do nothing, so popped along to Hanging Moor.
Decided to do green and just take it easy.
What fun!
Found the navigation easy at lower speed, only one error to #6 when thought I had gone too far and I hadn't, otherwise spot on.
Ran anything flat or downhill, walked the uphills.
I think I said this last time I dropped down a course, but I should listen to myself this time and do it more often, much more enjoyable.
