Not a bad time on a mainly (wet) rolling grass course
Took everyone slightly off course on 1st lap but no harm done

Easy barracks and uni loop, hindered by 'stray' cows.

Session: 10 mins tempo (3) 8 x 1 min (1)

Went fairly well.
Prescribed session was 15 x 40s on 20s off, but didn't think I'd get any benefit doing that alone as wouldn't hit right pace.
This was next weeks session which I can't make and seemed a good one to do.
Felt like I had an extra gear today which I managed to engage last 2 mins of the 10 and last 3 minute reps so I need to get this going mentally more than physically I think to get where I should be

A lot easier having planned BUCS relays here, knew where most things were.
A few more in the rocks might have been troublesome as still unsure what size is what etc.
Would have been nice to be able to run a bit faster as 30s off 1st but legs said no

Trafford 3000m - 3rd, 9:25.9

Disappointing time, down to a bit of wind, a bit of rustiness and a lack of balls. Was in 2nd most of the way, but everytime someone else came near I was able to respond and stay in 2nd, until 800m to go when guy came past and reeled in the leader, but i stuck to his heels and there was a 3 way sprint for the win - came 3rd. No kick, which the other 2 had.

Will do faster next time...

Hull Urban - 2nd, 42:55

Very solid run. A signifcant distance behind Jamie Parkinson but looking at route gadget mostly similar routes so down to running speed rather than navigation.
Messed up #1 as saw you couldn't get in from east but saw canopy to south without realising this went into olive green so had to go right round and enter from west. #16 should have cut through and nearly overshot.
Was well on top of planning ahead and coped with 3 close controls well. Good to have a longer distance urban, even if the flatness of Hull meant it was over just as quick!
