Was not going to run because of legs but couldn’t help myself too. Started strong but totally not used to sprint format as only done a handful.
Found myself taking inefficient routes on a few occasions and almost always stopping at the control to figure out where too next. Not having run in a few weeks certainly felt the lethargic nature of that coming threw... also pulled back after a stumble early not wanting to hurt myself...
All in all I had a really good run on a nice course and it was my first run in the area.
I think fitness/holding back cost me 30-60s pausing at each control was probably around 30s - silly mistakes was about 30-60s feeling like if I was in form and pushing self being in the 21 min bracket was doable. Bit more work to be done clearly.
Legs held up well but I think had I gone much longer there may have been some issues as they did get a tad tight after I finished - thankfully not sore.
Shame it was so warm by 11 when I was running would have been really nice if it was cool.
Anyway having to log on phone because internet’s been down all day. Stupid iinet and logging on phone is tedious so just a short one!
