Map linkAn "Ultralong-Sprint" type course at UC Berkeley. The course had exactly the same character as a well designed sprint... except it was 7 km long. This kind of meant that it had to have many more controls than a typical sprint: 45 to be exact. I can't say I've ever run a course with this many controls (including Score-Os); both the split sheets and the control description sheets were comically long. Maintaining sprint-like focus for the entire race was key, and I did OK, managing to make no mistakes or significantly suboptimal route choices for the entire race. Speed is something I definitely need to work on, though.
