Up Craigellachie from Aviemore. With all the trails around you would think that a good run was guaranteed - unfortunately I think I found the 1 bad run! Up a forest track that petered out, bushwhacked up to the top of the hill, some good running across the tops and the a steep bushwhack back to the road.
Good to be out and nice to get some steep climbing on pretty wild terrain in.

Lock Kinnord 10k - 3rd
Good race for me. Was in 2nd for the majority of the race with Kyle Greig well ahead and James Espie right on my shoulder. Couldn't hold James off on the final few hundred meters unfortunately. Not a bad run for so little training. 1min 8s faster than last year and thankfully no injuries this time.

Decent weather for it. A few niggles through the run, legs felt a bit tired after yesterday's session. R arch giving issues on the first descent from brimmond and then R big toe feeling bruised afterwards.
Rest day tomorrow so hopefully everything has a chance to feel better again.

Around the Bucksburn trails. Feeling a bit sore in my feet and calf muscles from yesterday's speed work. Nice to get in a longish run in great conditions. Wrong footwear choice today. It was much wetter underfoot than I was expecting.

Felt pretty good, some slow parts waiting for other to catch up. Was planning on doing intervals but the weather was so good and the option of running in a group was appealing.

Seriously wet and windy. Almost impossible to make progress in some of the sections.

Went ok today. Was able to run the entire distance. Still a bit slow on the descents. Unable to catch Willie at the end.

Proms 3k. 2nd behind R.Gauld.
Hamstrings getting a bit tight during the race but held on and seemed to pace it quite well taking over a bunch of guys in the last k.
Not a bad starting point for the series!

Attempted Gramps. Felt terrible. Zero energy as soon as I started climbing. Aborted the route and got back to the office as quickly as possible. I think it was a combo of nog enough food water and sleep.
