To try and loosen off the legs. First head torch run of the year. Tried going on some of the more technical trails but the light wasn't good enough to make it fun running.
Legs felt ok after I stopped to stretch out the L Achilles after a couple of mins. Probably didn't stretch enough at the end.

Morven hill race - 13th
First race back since May! Really felt it. Pretty much walked the entire climb and struggled to get going on the flatter sections on the plateau. Thought I was doing ok on the descent until I looked up and saw Dennis about a mile ahead of me. Terrain was pretty technical on the way down and I was pretty happy that there wasn't anyone on my shoulder.
Hopefully next race will be Bennaiche, however might be at the Proms 3k on Fri instead.
Calf muscles were tight. No issues with hamstring

Crathes trails.
Anuli was out so took the opportunity to get a bit further afield. I think my body would have preferred a shorter run.
Both hip flexors quick stiff. L hamstring and Achilles a bit sore too.
Hopefully 2 weeks to racing

Brimmond and tyrebagger.
Again probably too soon after breakfast and perhaps not enough recovery from last nights run. However it was a beautiful morning and nice to get the run in so early.
Legs were stiff and I felt empty on the climb to Brimmond. Struggled my way up the race route at the end.
Cut through the field at the start/finish rather than fighting with the nettles.
