Much better today. The course was mostly easier than yesterday, although we had some of the same technically difficult terrain. Trails and roads helped with the navigation today. Although I found them all without too much difficulty, in retrospect, I can see that two had better route choices. The trails were actually very good, and had I been doing any running, I could have had a much better time. Maybe later this week after my stress test.

Today was a disaster after yesterday's good navigation. Very technical map, with lots and lots of details. Also, many control location were somewhat hidden, and the vegetation was out which blocked visibility. I made three major navigational mistakes, the third probably because I was so tired. I came over the hill toward a stream, and went the wrong direction. On the other two mistakes, I finally went to the next control beyond and navigated back. The only good news is that I did well on some difficult ones and I persisted and finished the course. I am glad that tomorrow will be another day.

Sprint run at Miami University Hamilton. While billed as a sprint run, most of it was in woods, sometimes very messy. I was very happy with my navigation today on a difficult (for a sprint) race. I did only a very little running. I need to start running again to get my times down. It was fun, and good weather.

Not sure about the HR at the first station, but that was rope jumping. I slowed the pace a little and the rest of the workout was ok. Needed a workout before a long road trip this afternoon.

A tough one today. Every station had 100 of something, plus something else for the three minutes. I really got my heart rate up with 100 right round kicks with 20 punches, then two rounds later, the same with the left leg. The 100 shin kicks all at one time were also a leg killer, and the last with alternating 100 flutter kicks with 10 dive bombers was not fun either. I managed to do all of the stations however, and felt really good about that afterward.
