I am still here; I have not to my knowledge yet contracted coronavirus, despite not modifying normal behavior or activities at all. It has been bizarre to see my hometown of Kirkland in the national headlines, with the City Manager interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on CNN and so on. And headlines like "Life in Seattle, America's Coronavirus Capital" (from the NY Times). Hopefully that one doesn't stick.

In other news, I took delivery of my car two weeks ago, and have driven some 500 miles since. It has been as advertised, which is to say, great. I bought a Tesla for a number of reasons, but the primary one is that I believe in the company's mission. It seems clear at this point that the market must be the primary actor in the move away from fossil fuels, and I am fortunate enough to be able to support that transition a tiny bit.
