Had planned abit more, but had probs with back brake seizing and mom texted me she needed to go to the ER! I mean, I am proud that she texts, but call me on this stuff! She fell, and the bleeding wouldn't stop. She's all stitched up and good to go. And inbetween it all I got the bike to the shop.

O intervals with Jens. Learned a lot, it was AWESOME. More later.

Here is the more later:

Captain Mr. Wonderful thought it would be fun to do some intervals with the long goat map. It was awesome training. He deserves a medal for how many hours he has spent helping me.

We would start with a plan, and execute, start, and execute. I am a little surprised about a few things:

1. My HR shows I can get a sprint going more than I do, especially on the shorter, less brain involved legs.
2. I spent too much time lolly gagging inbetween controls. I love the woods, but should go into this sort of exercise with a time limit.
3. Thinking flexibly is super important.
4. Going into the control is a great time to review the plan for the next one. Perhaps memorizing the first three features so I don't need to map/compass as much?

This is such good fun. I love it.

Michelle Green and I met up with the GirlBike Night Ride group and did a couple few loops. I think we went further, but at one of the stops I turned off my watch...uh oh. O well. Some good twisty turny stuff. It was tough for me at night! And Michelle was so much fun!

Training ride with the Captain Mr. Wonderful. Man, that was awesome. He showed me a fantastic route. My feet got cold. Did have a hard time just moving. Maybe it was the three pairs of pants I had on. :)

Nice roll around ILRA with my friend Grace Singleton. She's interested to learn more about AR and orienteering!!! First time for me biking single track in the snow, took it slow and saw things I hadn't seen before. Very nice. One meetup with ice. Ouch. Glad I had my helmet. No bruising yet. When we started it was 19. The layering I used worked. Toes weren't cold until the very end.
