Went to Seven Lakes to ride Holdridge and explore around. Got on my 26 inch to see how it would feel on the eastern side of Holdridge and within a mile the tire blew. #$!@ It was at the stem, and I forgot to transfer my kit. A few nice guy stopped and offered to help. I was so bummed. Well, set my sights on a USGS tour of Seven Lakes. Just spectacular terrain. And the 190 HR was wonky...stayed in a lower zone most of the time. Little sore, helped a friend move on Friday.

Also wanted to share that the "indistinct" (to others, might not even be called trails) trails to the south/southeast/powerlines was HORRID with bugs--I was Deep Woods Off and tried to run to keep ahead, and the tall grass made it a little slow. Ah! All part of the adventure. Might be time to upgrade to 100% DEET.

Did Igor's streamer at Chilson. The good news is that I felt like it went well. The bad news is that my GPS didn't work for about half the time (grrr...especially when I was going slow to really study and get things right--also the reason for no distance) and the track I do have suggest the ones I missed, I was in the bubble. Truth be told, there was one I walked right past...I guess that can happen.

The ones that I was uncertain about were 13, 7 and 4. For 13 I don't have tracks, and 7 and 4 it seems I got there...

What they all have in common is a lot of contour action going on, so that is a big sign that I need to work on that. Also, I felt better about feature recognition, so yippee for that.
