Run 1:07:42 [3] 6.49 mi (10:26 / mi) +736ft 9:26 / mi
shoes: Altra LP 2.5 W9.5 blue

Rev3 group run at FH horse trails with Mike, Glen, Chris plus Rico de Maya. Legs were tired from yesterday, and I was pushing to keep up with the guys the first half. Then Maya conveniently took a different trail, and I ended up turning around and running the route backwards while the guys continued the loop. These creatures always know where they came from. She ended up at the trailhead and a couple runners passed her off to the Rev3 guys. Subtracted 10min in stopped search time.

Fire 4:00:00 [3]

In gear 6 or more hours each of the last 3 days. Today worked on forcible exit through wall studs, something else, and then 2 battalion-wide RIT scenarios.

Fire 4:00:00 [3]

More FF drags, including a test out drag where we had to drag someone the length of the high bay in the grass (i.e. mud because it was pouring rain). Single and double carries up stairs. RIT pack check out. Large area search. TIC camera use.

Fire 4:00:00 [3]

Mostly FF survival drills w/some FF rescue. Awesomely bruised and battered in places.

Denver drill- removing downed FF thru window
Columbus drill- raising FF thru a hole in the floor via ropes. I drew the handcuff knot card on my turn to be rescued. Tie handcuff knots around my arms and hoist me up. Unpleasant.
Window bailout- hang from window and drop down
Ladder bailout- headfirst, 1 arm thru rungs, swing your legs out and around, slide down ladder feet first
Rope bailout- anchor a rope inside the building, then just by wrapping the rope behind your back/air cylinder, you can easily self extricate through a window just holding tension with both hands. Crazy feeling the first time because you literally dive out headfirst and hit the side of the building when your body rights itself.
FF drag the length of the truck bay x2

All bailouts were done at least 4x. Good day. Definitely the best and most important class I've ever taken.

Fire 30:00 [3]

Mayday drills with 4 props. Ceiling collapse, floor collapse, entanglement, wall breach to exterior wall breach. Felt like I was getting crushed on the ceiling collapse. Back and L elbow bruised. The first of many this week.
