Walked the Green course on the second day of the Boy Scouts' Sid Richardson meet. Tom and I skipped yesterday, since we're both recovering from one thing or another. It was a smart decision in more ways than one -- temperatures were in the 80s yesterday, and the event started at noon. Several people apparently suffered from heat exhaustion; the sun exposure on this map can be brutal.
Bottom line: It was fine. I was slow, because I was ultra careful (Sid is rocky, and I fell there badly once in the rain, got quite hurt.) But as long as I only walk, not run, the rib really doesn't hurt any more than my knees do going down a steep hill. ;-) In this case, it's more about the fear of falling and making the break worse than it is about pain. But today gave me confidence; I'm going ahead with my A meets and I'm going ahead with Green. I won't turn in that great a time, but I'm not doing this for the rankings anyway.
Today I distributed our new jerseys to all members in attendance who ordered. Everyone is happy. :-)
