Paddle (Outrigger) 2:03:58 [3] 10.4 mi (11:55 / mi)
ahr:127 max:156

Sat in seat 2. Felt great about the paddle cadence today and did a good job syncing with seat 1. I am starting to get the stroke down, though I still have a long way to go. 4 x 20 min at L2, but really we raced a bit so it was a bit harder than that. It's hard not to race when you're out with 7 or 8 other boats. Moving time was actually 1:52:38, and it was spectacularly calm on the ocean.

Paddle (Outrigger) 1:20:52 [3] 5.8 mi (13:57 / mi)
ahr:107 max:124

Seat 2 in an all-women boat.
5 min warm-up
15 min L2
20 min L3
15 min L2
5 min cool down.
Super windy, so we stayed in the harbor. I was getting tips from seat 3, but when I'd think about those things, I'd get out of timing with seat 1, who ended up telling seat 3 to just let me focus on timing since the other stuff would come.
HR data is messed up because I had to give my watch to another seat for timing and it was too far to register the strap. I'll plan to keep it myself for future workouts.

Paddle (Outrigger) 47:23 [3] 2.6 mi (18:14 / mi)
ahr:125 max:157

Novice practice - lots of drills and instruction. There's a lot to think about when learning a new activity!

Paddle (Outrigger) 1:28:00 [3] 7.0 mi (12:34 / mi)
ahr:127 max:148

Seat 5
We went out into the ocean, but it was a bit choppy. Our group did not do well today with keeping the timing right, but it was still fun to get out into the ocean. 4x10 min intervals

Hike (Hiking - Topanga) 2:11:20 [3] 6.8 mi (19:19 / mi) +1168ft 16:37 / mi

Met Anna and did a hike at Topanga Canyon. It was actually a wide 2-track, but it was nice because we could walk side-by-side and talk. It was a beautiful (somewhat hot) sunny day. When we got to the overlook, there was a lot of fog down below, but we could see LA, and it looked like it was starting to clear out in Malibu. It's still cool to get such a view even without seeing the ocean.
