Championship race! We took the gold in our division. 3rd boat overall but not far behind the first two. We were very happy and our coach was super proud of us. We went out into the ocean for a bit and the swells were pretty big, but we did well in it. One of our "engine room" paddlers was feeling sick and her back was hurting, so that's pretty awesome that she hung in there and we had such a great result anyway.

Woo hoo! Ono for the win!!! We took off in second overall first in our division and held on/widened the gap throughout the race. Super foggy day so they shortened the course to just stay near the break wall. I was able to paddle quite a bit which always helps. We were 55 seconds behind first overall and about 1.5 minutes ahead of third overall. Super motivating and awesome to pass boats from the waves in front of us. Woo hoo!!!
