First time to Middlefork in about a year. SO much fun. Fun, social group ride with lots of stops to regroup. At first I was at the back on downhills, but after Chuck (also SS) and I kept getting jammed up on the climbs I finally told the group we really needed to be first on the hills. Got some looks but immediately dropped everyone when we started climbing. Even I didn't realize how much they were slowing us down on the climbs. For a while we'd regroup at top of hills and I'd just drop behind everyone else since I'm still the slowest going downhill, but towards the end we just kept going more and had enough of a gap that we only got caught when we stopped.

That's a great trail for rigid SS, nothing too chunky. Just a great, confidence-inspiring day after feeling so bad about myself after one-eyed dog.
