Race at Tahoe XC. Super fun course set by Jonis. 2 loops. Lots of narrow, snowmobile tracks as well as well as being able to make lots of short cuts. Did a few mistakes, nothing major. Great practice in skiing on narrow trails and being able to read the map. Overcast today - Cali whats up with thaaat????
Score-O at Tahoe Donner. Well, that was a little tricky in the sense of time management. Did not want to run over the 1 hour time limit, so instead I ended up with about 49 minutes. Ouch. The controls left were way too far in 11 minutes. Looking at the map afterwards, I could have taken at least 3 more. Oh well. Very nice though, sunny.
Prosser SkiO arena. Great fun on two new courses even if I got a little confused on the now slightly melted trails, with new random trails added in. Still great practice skiing with a map. Thanks Greg!
About 8.8 K with lots of climbing. Had some great routes including awesome cuts. Then I also had some really bad choices, losing lots of time. I got really tired in the long uphills, maybe that contributed to the major brain farts.
Course was listed at 250 m climb, counting afterwards it was actually 350 meters. Sure felt like it.
Prosser SkiO arena with Greg, Ken, Jonis and Karen. Superfun playing around on the trails. Managed to get somewhat confused in a few places. Bonkers the dog was loving every second.
SkiO race day 2 at Bear Valley. I believe the course was just a tad under 10K. Felt I had a solid race, a few mistakes in a couple of places, but nothing major. Could push fairly hard the whole time. First time in a race I took my skis off to jump into and across a creek.
Bear Valley WRE red course. Felt I had a pretty solid race, 2 mistakes, maybe 2 minutes total. Mix of wide trail and narrow, snowmo trails. Was able to keep good speed the whole way. I am still too slow in reading the map where it is narrow and many trails. Superfun!
