My Garmin has been acting up lately so once again I had to borrow one of the club's loaners. Once again I find the climb data to be very unreliable as it seems to wildly overstate the amount of climb that I did.

I overshot 2/121 on my first couple attempts at finding it. I went too far down the hillside and was looking at the wrong elevation for it. I turned left and right but couldn't find it until it occurred to me that maybe I should try looking a bit higher on the hillside. Seeing someone else find it also helped.

When I started I was wearing both a long sleeve and a short sleeve t-shirt. A little before I arrived at 3/126, I stopped to remove the long-sleeved T. I probably lost a minute or two removing both t-shirts, putting back on the short sleeved one and then stuffing the long sleeved one in my pack.

5/116 seemed to be misplaced, although I found it faster than I otherwise might have. I came over the top of the hill it was on. I hadn't traveled as far down the other side when I spotted it. I shrugged, punched and moved on.

I stopped a second time when I arrived at 7/129 to help another person who was a little lost. He wasn't sure exactly where he was. I did my best to point him in the right direction. I probably lost a minute or two helping him.

I lost a little bit of time when I was looking for 9/123. When I got to the trail that was south and east of the control I got it in my head that I was further north and east than I was on the trail. It was a blunder on my part. I can see that now, although it took me a few minutes to figure that out at the time. What finally set me right was seeing the building that was northeast of the control.

I walked right past 10/111. It was close to the trail and if I had just turned my head I would have seen it. Instead I missed it and went further down the hillside until I knew I had gone too far and must have passed it. I doubled back and found it very easily.

After leaving 10/111 I headed to the trail along the river. I followed that for a while, actually a little too long. I turned south when I should have turned north. I realized my mistake fairly quickly. Instead of doubling back I turned west and climbed up the hillside to the road and took that back to the trail. A number of people (6) converged on 11/119 at the same time, which made finding it considerably easier than it otherwise might have been.

I overshot 13/136 by a little bit. I wasn't sure it I had overshot or not but I looked back just in case and spotted it along the hillside.

15/122 was almost too easy to find. It probably should have been hung lower so that it wasn't visible from as far away as it was. I found it without any trouble.

It was unseasonably warm for December. I might have appreciated the warm temperature if I had not been getting some exercise. I wouldn't have minded it at all if the temperature had been 10-15 degrees cooler.
