Orienteering race 1:30:40 [4] 5.2 km (17:26 / km)
shoes: OROC Spiked

Spent time pouring over Saturday's map. I got real comfortable with it and the style. This really helped out today. I realized the mapper shows deep gullies with contours only. I shaved 11 minutes off my Saturday time due to two fewer controls and much better understanding of the mapping. I need to make myself go to the model layout before the meet.

On #3 #142, did not see the saddle I had planned on crossing, so I went the long way around the second hill. Lost 2:39 here, this I think was the hardest control on Sunday. Control 6 #158 I was in a knot of four runners they all turned up towards the wrong hill top. I over rode the proper compass direction and followed. I hate running in groups. Control 11 lost track of where I was. Quickly found myself but still lost 1:12 since it forced me into a subpar route.
