Hill repeats up Ha Ling. 30min up then down.
The trail was covered with the soft snow and I was occasionally sliding in my Kathoolas. It still surprises me seeing people on the trail in regular sneakers or Sorels - crazy!
I loved this workout! I tried baby food and it was delicious:)

Solo long runs are not fun:(
I run from my home up to Powerline Trail, thinking it will have the least amount of snow. First part was pretty good although I had a strong headwind most of the way. The snow got deeper past Quarry Lake, I was making first tracks in the snow, sometimes knee-deep, and half way between Quarry and Grassi I just gave up. I was moving really slowly and the wind was making me cold, so I turned around, run through the dog park and took the road up to Nordic Centre. I stopped there for a short break and continued on to Grassi Lakes. I hiked up to the top and turned back. I was thinking of taking the road all the way home but the volume of cars was just too much, so I turned at Quarry and hiked up to Powerline Trail (could barely run there, not many people out so snow not packed at all). The run was supposed be 3.5hrs but I was just exhausted from post-holing and my feet were wet, so I cut it short.

Trail Culture run in -20C. We run part of Horseshoe trail, fat bikers did not get the trail ready for us, so it was slow going in ankle-deep snow. The forest looked awesome, branches heavy with the white fluff.

A quick run after more than an hour of shoveling...it was cold and windy. I had so many layers on, I felt very slow and sluggish.
