Advance course set by Tom Hernnstein - great woods, open, loose rocks made it tough in places and when not, good running. Very steep coming from Lawrence KS. Major error going from 8 to 9. Cause? Need to adjust my pace counting. I'm probably taking such shorter strides these days that using 25 double paces per 100m worked when I was younger. Probably closer to 30-32 these days. And not trusting the map clearly showing a reentrant on my right led to the bale out by going back to 8. Other minor errors, but it was just nice to be in a real regular course and not a local sprint event.

own workout at Sports Pavilion Lawrence - hip stretches and Dog Days workout. Skipped going downtown to the garage for the DD workout in 30F temp. Lat exercises (10x70, 10x85, 10x85) - easy start.
Post run stretches.

running/walking (Galloway run) 35:00 [2] 3.0 mi (11:40 / mi)
shoes: Patagonia EVERLong

Indoor run measurement with Garmin on SPL level 1. 60/30 Galloway intervals. Kept it easy but did a speed pickup with about 800m to go.

After 3 weeks, still have hives on the chest just below the neck. Zyrtec seems to help, but hives have lasted longer than any other time I've had them. See a doctor?
