Plan was to run walk to Appalachian Trail. We found a starting point about a mile away from the Bread Loaf Lodge (Cornwall Bridge, CT) the day before. Instead we found a trailhead just 400m from the lodge and it said it would connect up with the AT. It was tough for Dee you had road shoes and not a trail runner. A bit too rough for her. Turned her ankle (strained, nothing serious). She mentioned her quads were sore the next two days. After we turned around, headed to the Catholic church below the bridge and ran into town to see the general store, then back to the lodge.
This was also the day for a bike tour that started in Torrington - saw a lot of bikers on our way to Thomaston for church service with the family. Went through Litchfield which everyone knows is the boyhood home of Peter Gagarin. It was great being back in New England.
