Testing out tires for my upcoming race...had the Continental Race Kings on for kettle and they were too bouncy and skiddish for me, so i put one Specialized Fast Trak Grid on the front for this ride, and it was a ton better! I wrote a poem about the Race Kings...

New bike day! Testing out my new Niner hardtail on rocky John Muir trails which I’m going to use for AR. We planned on doing the full month but when we were riding Emma, both of our bikes had issues, so we took the road back to the connector near Muir, and did a couple loops at Muir to stay closer to the car in case our bikes got angry again. Mosquitoes were mutants, we saw a mail man driving a dodge caravan and he was in the passenger seat while steering the driver’s side steering wheel...it’s always a crazy adventure!
