Bike 3:37:00 [3] 49.3 mi (4:24 / mi) +2382ft 4:13 / mi

Rode up near the ski hill to do hill repeats on violet rd with a 20ish pound pack! Did about 5 repeats then rode around Barrington Hills where i passed a lemonade stand which was pure heaven! This little girl had different flavors, ice cold water, bananas and oranges...it was amazing! The heat was deathly but I survived!

Finally got a new road bike which is super awesome, but i went through a puddle that apparently had moss at the bottom, and with just the slight turn of my front wheel, i skidded out and crashed. My new bike is scuffed but in places that can be fixed but i was still really upset. I scuffed my elbow, ankle, and my left thigh is going to have a pretty sweet bruise. I whacked my head on the pavement but my helmet saved me a trip to the hospital! Yay for the new bike! Poop on the crash!

It was supposed to be 105 miles but we got extra credit by taking a wrong turn somewhere and did a few extra miles. It got brutally hot, melting us at 90 degrees, and of course wind...there is always wind in these wide open spaces!
