Note

Chose not to run in an ad hoc team at the relay as a precaution and also ankle was still really stiff after yesterday. Definitely feel i made the right decision to retire yesterday as calf is not complaining even after yesterday.

Plan this week is to get another sports massage and cross train in order to recover properly and prepare for a busy month of racing.

• Jogging round as was worried about calf
• Wasted 5:35 on #1
• Now pissed off and already walking
• Wasted 4:24 on #3
• Even more annoyed. Time for some jelly babies
• Slow through the next controls
• Twisted my ankle at 7 - reduced to a slow walk
• Checked watch at drinks stop at 12...saw i had already been out for an hour so knew i was going to retire and bailed after 16. Could not think of any positive gains that would come as a result of me finishing.

Shame i was unable to race properly as the course was great. Still managed to make it as Wendles' blip at the one point i was being energetic:

Fist ttc swim in ages so felt really tough. Also a fast guy who doesn't normally do this session was in my lane and was very loud and annoying, ordering everyone around about who should take the lead.

Wished I didn't turn up for this. Calf wasn't a fan of the shorter faster stuff so sacked it in after three. Should be fine for Saturday i'm hoping as was ok during WD.
