Orienteering race (Greno and Wheata) 38:30 [4] *** 6.34 km (6:04 / km) +240m 5:06 / km
spiked:12/17c shoes: Inov Mud CLaw 330

BUCS Relay at Greno and Wheata. I was 1st leg. It literally took me half the course for my feet to become unfrozen. Got confused with the gaffles on 2 but had a steady race until 14 where I was getting close to the finish and wasn't concentrating - looking for a path rather than a fence. Overall alright though, others did much worse. Course length: 5.43km

Orienteering race (Burbage & Hathersage Moor) 1:30:02 [4] **** 12.2 km (7:23 / km) +382m 6:23 / km
spiked:18/29c shoes: Inov Mud CLaw 330

BUCS Individual Race at Burbage & Hathersage Moors. Started 4 mins ahead of Chris and after time wasted on 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8, Chris caught me up and then me, him and the guy who started inbetween us went round as a 3, constantly leapfrogging each other. None of us were particularly good at spiking the controls as it was very technical so the one as the back would see the mistake the others made and not waste time there. I don't know where I could learn to run on heather. It was too hard. Course length: 10.49km.
