BUSC XC. I was in the A race which actually surprised me but it turned out to be the best situation as otherwise I would be in the B race which was after the womens race whereas the A race was 1st. This was good as it got very muddy very quickly and even by our 2nd lap it was a mud bath. I was surprised that my innovs held up grip-wise. I may have gone off too fast on the first lap as I was ahead of the rest of the club but it worked out well as on the there wasn't as much mud so I got much further ahead than my peers. By the second half of the 3rd lap Doug had cought me up but I stayed with him so that on the final flat I was able to unleash a sprint finish. Good race really.
