Note

Reeeaaaaaaaalllllllyyyyyyy pleased with my results this week end, lets just hope it lasts! Managed to persuade mum to take me to the City of London race in September, and I might be staying with Jenny for the Scottish Champs..... YEE BOIZ;D
11 AM

Event race 23:54 [5] **** 3.5 km (6:50 / km) +98m 5:59 / km
shoes: Inov8 F-Lite 230

Really nice run around the urban today, won Junior Womens by just over a minute to Beth Hanson which I'm pleased with:) Actually ran more like 4.6km after logging it with Getamap, so actually did more like 5.10/kms which is alright, but not fab :/ Managed to make Daniel late for his start as my warm up went on a bit longer than necessary and we got to the start and we were like 12 seconds late for his time, bu the silly people on the start wouldn't let him just go on to the next line :3 Oh well... Had a fairly clean run, but made a route choice error to no# 12 because I decided to go back out onto the road the same way I went into the control, but found later that I could have just taken a fairly direct route through the houses... Spent an extra 12sec on the crossing point at no# 8 as I didn't have my watch and lost count :S The rest was pretty good, used up nearly three minutes at the crossing point on no# 15, when Daniel caught me up again, but his race pace (flat out sprint for me) kept me going, and I was kind of overtaking him as he made tiny errors when I didn't because I knew my way around ;D So yeah, good result, Fay was 3rd but only by like 1.5mins and Meg came 3rd in Women's Open, which was pretty speedy ;P
-17s cause the finish box on the run was wrong :L

10 AM

Warm Up/Down 20:00 [3] 2.3 km (8:42 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

A few hort drills around assembly field, just to 'get in the zone' ;) Mass srt was good, got out the field 3rd. Stretches in the start box and casual chatting with ma homies just to chillax a bit as the atmosphere was rather tense:3
11 AM

Event race 25:51 [5] **** 3.89 km (6:39 / km) +200m 5:17 / km
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Fairly easy race, managed to get out the field first on the mass start which gave me a good headstart, but I lost maybe 1min on no# 1 because I went too high :S The rest was fine, and when I got back into the final field hearing the man in the voice over box saying that I was leading really spurred me on. Katie had a very good run, as did Natalie, and we found ourselves heading home with GOLD!!! I won my leg and gaffle, which was really good..... too bad Kirsten miss punched otherwise we could have had two LOC teams on the podium! :P
12 PM

Warm Up/Down warm up/down 14:00 [3] 1.4 km (10:00 / km) +5m 9:49 / km
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Running around the field with Natalie as her warm up and my warm down... Stretches and drills and then a quick sprint up the run in as she came in first! We won by like 10 minutes!:L

Event: BOC 2012

10 AM

Warm Up/Down warm up/down 20:00 [3] 1.5 km (13:20 / km) +150m 8:53 / km
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Some drills and stretches along the track to the start, up and down the hill. Jogged around the field as well, and ran up to the start with my mummy about 1 minute to go..
11 AM

Event race (British Champs-Dalegarth) 48:05 [5] ***** 5.9 km (8:09 / km) +250m 6:43 / km
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Really nice day for it! I thankfully had a fairly early start so when I ran the weather was warm(ish) but not too hot ;P I actually had a fairly clean run, apart from no# 8 which I over-shot by about 15m and had to run back up the hill for it :S No# 6 route choice wasn't too snazzy either as I went over the hill, and when Meg and I were comparing route choice and splits later, I realised that she went round the bottom and then up which led her straight to the control and took her less time, whereas I lost an extra 30sec on it because I was too high and had to run back down the hill :L Really pleased with my pace, although I wasn't really sprinting flat out up the hills, but hey... 6th isn't bad! ;D
12 PM

Warm Up/Down warm up/down 15:00 [3] 1.78 km (8:26 / km) +5m 8:19 / km
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Jogging around the field again, a few short drills but nothing major..

PE 1:30:00 [2] 3.0 km (30:00 / km)

Did a nice long warm up 3 times aroung the track, and some snazzy drills too ;) Imrpoved on both my 200m and 100m times since last year... (32.78s 200m and 15.73s for 100m) which I'm pretty pleased with as I'm deffo not a sprinter :S Triple jump too, got 7.3m so not too bad, but not fabulous :3 Some more jogging and stretches to warm down, but nothing too taxing :)
8 PM

Run 37:56 [3] 5.5 km (6:54 / km) +18m 6:47 / km
shoes: Inov8 Roclitesomethingorother

VERY easy run with Natalie and Carrie as a kind of talent squad jog before le British. Natalie seemed happy to just natter away to herself so I just kind of pootled along and went and ran along the beach for some way just because I could and it was really pretty :) Wish I'd had a camera as the sun was starting to set and it looked beautiful ;') Resting tomorrow as my exams are starting and Fay and Meg are coming up tomorrow evening and staying the weekend for BOC :D fun times.... back to revision!!

Evening club race 59:37 [3] 3.8 km (15:41 / km)

A really nice run round Graythwaite... Got a bit lost on the way to the event, fab orienteers we are! :S Gave my mum a 2 minute head start, but caught her up at number 1 :P But instead of carrying on, I decided to stay with her, coaching(!) her on each leg and making sure she knew exactly where we were, what this feature was on the ground, and what that rock was on the map etc. Really good fun actually! :D I really enjoyed it tbh, but she needs to work on her control flow, and her race pace.. Deffo wasn't going at race pace myself! Taking it easy leading up to BOC now, PE tomorrow and then talent squad in the evening.. should be fab ;)

Note
(rest day)

Hmmmm, Mum and Chris said not to go for a run :S So don't judge me, because I definitely was going to go for one!! So I played some wierd French and German game on Bitesize :D Haha :P Another rest day :S My head feels a lot better now, but I had coffee and cheese today (with some cheeky wine), which brought on a *fabulous* migraine -_- The weather was really manky and gross today, but the LOC sprint is demain so I'll be popping off to thaat :) fun times... Revision and piano practise is getting reeeaaaallllyyyyy serious :S But hey! It's BOC soon ;P
