Utterly stunning day. Sunny, flat calm. A shock to drive through the cloud from Ashford and to emerge into glorious sunshine in the hills. Lough Tay was 100% glass sheet, with extraordinary reflection.
As for the run, went out for a jog with the dog, happen to pick up 26 controls on my route. Just a day to enjoy the weather. Only time loss was no.2. About 1:30. Ended up in wrong line from track and bypassed control. Half the time loss was helping someone on Light Green course relocate. I don't usually get stopped, but I must have looked like someone out for a leisurely stroll with their dog, I was even asked if I was doing Light Green.
Tough going for the ankles and I think the dog may have struggled if I was pushing it. I was relatively quick in latter part due to my easy pace previously.
Would have gone direct to 24 if I knew it was burnt.
