Was reading map well today, not always been the case at Bull Island. Actually the absence of paths helps a lot. The map is less cluttered and the contour detail I found much easier to read. Ran steady throughout, No major errors and reckoned I wouldn't be far behind the boys at the end.

Punched wrong control at 2, but thought I was short so didn't loose as much as I could have. 15 secs
Dropped time at 7, went wrong side of hill and had to loop around to get control. 20 seconds
Hesitated going to 12 as marsh seem to widen but pacing indicated I needed to go further so trusted it. 10 seconds
There after I was rarely running hard, but made sure of the navigation, so could certainly have done 20 and 21 quicker. Got line into 22 wrong so dropped 10 secs
For 25 I went via 21. Was quite concerned about 22 and took it slowly. Splitsbrowser indicating 30 secs dropped, but it wasn't a mistake.
10 secs dropped at 28 because I allowed myself to get distracted by others who were wrong!
So just over the minute dropped, Could certainly have run faster but I'm sure this would have resulted to one or more significant errors.

Messed up the 5th, the first returning into wind by doing it under 80 secs, the following one was 88. got back to sensible pace for last 2.
