Firstly, tried a stronger contact lens, +2.0 instead of the usual +1.5 and it worked!! Actually ran the whole course without using the magnifier. Have tried the +2.0 lens previously in a hill run and it didn't go well as I couldn't see the terrain properly, but thought I may get away with it for a Sprint event and today was the first time to try it.
Ran a good race. Struggled to see course on map, though became easier once I got map out of bag, but didn't do this till forced to at #17. Dropped time at 9 due to hesitation and changing mind with route choice and 18. Just couldn't find control and had to fight map and bag when getting map out.

Was rarely running flat out, though tried for fastest split to finish which I managed jointly with Kev

First time to do one of the fit4life league. Bit of a Parkrun atmosphere to the event.
Tough course. 3 and a bit laps and finishing higher than start, tough to pace the hill. Took first hill handy and passed loads on the following downhill. Gained a further place on each of following laps.

First run in what seems like ages, but only a week. Didn't feel great and even carried a stitch for a while, but at least its a reminder to legs not to get to used to rests.

2 runs in a day :)
Social run in evening and I'm now a member of Athletics club.
Didn't feel great. Signs of stitch again with doubts that it may be something else.
