I explored some trails I had never been on in the Meshomasic. As such, I ended up walking more than I would have liked to. But that sometimes is the case when in an unknown area. Certain trails were more technical then I have ability for. Doing this orienteering lately has made me rather particular when it comes to maps. I had an ordinary topo that was quite insufficient. Oh well, still is great to be in the woods on a beautiful day rather than stuck in the office.

Rode into work this morning. It was an awesome morning. Both the connecticut and farmington rivers looked pristine.

My legs felt great on the way home tonight. Did a much better pace even considering that I had some tailwind at times. It is interesting, I used my handheld GPS to clock it on the way in and my phone for the way home. Slight variation in the distance logged between the two, but not much.

Apparently there is a strike at Coke today. It really slowed down the traffic around there but I was able to navigate it much quicker than all the other commuters.

I tried a version of intervals. I didn't feel I had time to go to the track, so I decided to just try some from the house. I ran hard for 5 minutes and then walked for 2. I did this 5 times. I don't know what distances I was doing for the 5 minute intervals but I tried to keep my heart rate above 175.

These sprint courses on the campus were really fun. It makes me look forward to the Umass campus coming up soon.
