Red x Not a bad course, I was pretty clean but took it slow to avoid mistakes so I felt like I could have gone faster. I also thought 9k would be a lot worse than it was, it wasn't too hilly which helped.
'round the block 5 Dayum. Not trying to break any records or anything but got in a solid run without starting off too fast. Felt pretty awesome which was nice. I ran a bit behind Anna most of it then passed her with around 1.5 left. We also ran the first 2 or so with Mary and Jenna. Jenna dropped back but Mary is tough and was around 40 seconds behind me and Anna. I can't wait to hear how she does once she actually gets to high school lol.
We weren't supposed to go that fast since we have a meet tomorrow but I felt good and was not letting one of the middle schoolers pass me (who ran like 20 seconds slower...she's fast.) I just started off fast and made sure I had a lead the whole time. It was fine. I also pretty much ran it alone since our top 4 who I usually run with aren't running at the meet tomorrow and did a different workout. It felt good to have the lead for once though. I'm expecting to win tomorrow since it will be me against our number 6 girl who I have beaten every time so far. The other team is pretty small and not as strong as ours. I love when you beat your min/mile race times on a longer road run. (Not really its kind of annoying)
At Brandeis with the team and other recruits. Did one of their loops which went through the Lake District and some parks nearby, the trails were nice. We were going pretty slow and picked it up a bit at the end. I really like the team and our host was awesome. (I have a new bff)
