run 1:10:00 [4] 11.84 km (5:55 / km) +241m 5:22 / km
shoes: mizuno trainers

run with anna along rivelin but cut all the way down the hill first instead of the gradual descent. Then along the river until onto my usual route, up the track back to manchester road. left anna to run home from crosspool past ranmoor and endcliffe.

anna was running a little faster than me so it was a really good motivator.

felt a little tired on the hill back but felt good running the flat
not as muddy as last week so could run it faster

british long W20E

felt sluggish until 3, quite fast loop 4-10 only not spiking 1 of them
4 longish legs on the open moorland which were executed fine.
soon as i got into the forest acted like a total headless chicken running down wrong path and having to climb back up to get to the 15th control and going on the wrong hill for 16.

sprintervals 20:00 [4] **
spiked:19/23c shoes: new mizunos

went for sprintervals with anwen
ran up to hers in 15minutes ~1.7km
then jogged to the first start via crookes park and ponderosa in about 10minutes
4 loops
loop 1 (5 controls) -missed the second one but realised as soon as i'd run past it but anwen overtook me, was fine for the rest
loop 2 (7 controls) -was fine for all of them but got overtaken about half way round- may have taken a slower route to number 3
loop 3-(5 controls)- hit all of these fine, stayed ahead of anwen OOOSHHHHH
loop 4- hit 1 fine, went to 2 and realised the path i was on didn't lead to my control but stopped short, had to go round a little loop of paths to get from where i was to mine. not a big dal until i got stuck behind a man with a ladder. only i would get stuck on a sprint course behind a man with a ladder. once i got past him ran straight past the control into anwen. i had been overtaken.
this obviously distracted me as i messed up the next one a little bit, running down a path parallel to the one i wanted, didn't lose much time though. then i messed up the last one by coming out on the path, should have turned left. went straight on? wasn't focused at this point.had a little tootle around til i got to the finish by chance

10minute jog back to anwens and 25minute walk back home

shoes: mizuno trainers

saw vanessa running along eccy road and wondered what she was doing on my patch. so decided to go run on hers :p

run up from hunters bar, up crookes road past grindstone and Post office, then down into rivelin via stables, nice downhill stretch after constant uphill on roads.enjoyed this part.

bit muddy running the track back up to the road. wore my trainers which after the rain was a bad call. only one bad stretch that was basically me slipping and sliding about in a track that was just mud.

the ran back up to the top of the valley, was pretty good going. then ran quickest route back home from crosspool, past ranmoor, past endcliffe to my house

haven't run this route in a while and felt very good
