Running (Trail) 2:00:00 [2] 13.86 km (8:39 / km)
shoes: Salomon Propulse 2nd pair

Last run before R2R2R, with Myka, Simon Lee and Al. The snow made things a little more challenging. Went about 4 km out on Montane Traverse until it became less travelled and the snow became a bit more difficult. Turned around and also ran on the Horseshoe Trails for more time. Cold! Man, Vegas and the Grand Canyon will be a shock, a good shock. 30C in Vegas, 20C on the Canyon rim and maybe 25-30C in the canyon. It may be too hot but after too many weeks of way too cold, I welcome it :)

Lesson at CNC
Cold
Did a bit of offset. Found it a bit confusing because my coaching from Supercamp has moved toward an almost symmetrical poling technique whereas this instructor is very assymetric.
Also did a bit of two-skate.
The transition from offset to two-skate and back was confusing because the coach said you should end up poling on the other side after you switch whereas my dominant side is the same for both. I feel like it shouldn't matter and you should ultimately aim to be good on both sides, but he felt that in the transition we should experience an obvious switch. It almost felt like we were just different on right-handed/left-handed or right-legged/left-legged preferences, but maybe there was some nuance I was missing.

30 min warm up
4 1-min spin ups

A bit tired from the week of skiing but still put in a decent performance. Could probably do about 275-280W.

I figured I would gain weight on this trip because despite the full days of climbing and skiing, I usually eat a ton on lodge trips. Yet somehow, despite having seconds most nights and dessert every night, my weight is down a little. I guess I did show some restraint by only having 1.5x servings at meals instead of the typical 2x servings I have had in the past...

Maybe I'm a little extra dehydrated but I don't think so.
