Today's objective was the Big Apple, a feature to the N/NW, opposite of yesterday. Overcast and the light was really flat, especially up high. Didn't bother going to the top and instead decided to find some skiing. Went down a glacial run (unnamed glacier). One of our guides went ahead for us in the flat light and fell slightly off the steep toe of the glacier. No consequences. Did a couple of runs. One had big pillows toward the bottom.
Broke some trail to get us out of the bottom of that run. When I asked the guide how my uptrack was, he simply said it was good. When I pushed him re: whether there was anything that could be better, he said no. I think there is probably still fine tuning to be had, but maybe these guides aren't expecting as much for recreational purposes.
Had a wicked double-eject when I skied straight down into a compression in flat light. The skis stopped dead and I sommersaulted. Good times :)
Had another pitch that had some wind effect on it but skied it aggressively and it worked out nicely.
Finished with a fun run though some steeper trees that had some fun things to hop off of. Followed Carbon a bunch when we would buddy up in the trees.
